Lincay in the native tongue means “Get Together”. In this path we can see a dense centennial forest with the presence of Arrayán, Coigüe, Peta and Ciruelillo, also birds such as Tiuque, Queltehue, Chilean Chorlo, Bandurrias, Cometocino, Chucao, Zorzal among other native species that come along with the route. The permanent bird sighting is a valuable potential characteristic of the location, where it’s also possible to find Black-Necked Swans.

The square is the center of the settlement, around where the Church, the School, the rural First Aid station and emerging local commerce. The natural and social landscape gives life in Lincay a character marked by quietness and harmony. The economical activity is mainly developed around aquaculture production of Salmon and Mytilidae species (Choritos and Cholgas), also the agriculture production of self-consumption.

Lincay’s church is one of the churches built under the “Wood Architecture Religious School” (built on the 19th century). This mundane and religious monument – Because of the intense relationship between the town and the temple and the daily life of the Lincay community – is oriented towards the sea and given its old age it highlights its slim tower that can be appreciated from various spots in the warm horizontal landscape. This urban and landscape landmark has a basal die and two octagonal canes, with a curved spire at the top. Old neighbors point out that these three main volumes represent The Divine Trinity.
