Flora and Fauna

Nature in this area is striking for its diversity. Lile ducks, steamer ducks (quetros), Chilean dolphins (toninas), cormorants, cypress trees, lenga and ñire beeches, and ferns are just some of the species that accompany the journey, surprising those who observe with an ecological perspective. Throughout the voyage, it is common to see birds nesting on the cliffs and dolphins swimming playfully alongside the vessel or the excursion boats. All wildlife lives in a wild state; therefore, passengers are invited to enjoy it respectfully and without disturbing its natural environment.

From December to March, bird populations increase significantly due to the breeding season. The southern forests—evergreen and perpetually humid—offer a constantly changing spectacle, particularly in autumn, when coigüe trees colour the landscape in shades of yellow and red.

With Skorpios Cruises, guests can experience Patagonian flora and fauna in its purest state.
