Quitralco Fjord

Located 60 nautical miles north of the San Rafael Glacier, in the insular region of Aysén, Quitralco Fjord takes its name from the native language, meaning “fire water”. It is an ancient glacial bed surrounded by mountains and lush vegetation, declared a Nature Sanctuary in 1996.

Skorpios Cruises owns more than 1,000 hectares of forest and mountainous terrain in this area, where its hot springs facilities are located, featuring warm, pure waters of volcanic origin. The volcanic source of these waters was confirmed in 2021 as the nearby Mate Grande Volcano.

Skorpios offers both outdoor and indoor thermal pools to enjoy the relaxing properties of the waters, as well as walking trails, a park with native trees, and a docking pier. Here, the vessel is also supplied with pure, crystal-clear water from a mountain river for on-board consumption. At this location, guests may enjoy thermal and steam baths, walks through the southern temperate rainforest, boat excursions along the fjord, sport fishing, and Patagonian cuisine featuring grilled meats prepared in a traditional quincho available to all passengers.
