CHONOS Route

A wonderful five-night, six-day maritime journey covering 800 nautical miles southward from Puerto Montt, heading toward and awe-inspiring encounter with the San Rafael Glacier and its ancient ice. The route passes through spectacular archipelagos, channels, and gulfs, and visits towns and villages such as Quemchi, Dalcahue, and the fishing village of Puerto Aguirre.

The route also includes visits to the Conejos Islets and Barrientos Islets, offering close encounters with nature and the opportunity to enjoy the scenery and the rich diversity of wildlife that inhabits these areas.

To conclude this unforgettable journey, we disembark at the Quitralco Fjord, where natural hot springs, traditional Patagonian asado—featuring lamb slowly roasted over an open fire—and excursions across its vast, island-studded waters offer complete relaxation.

The Chonos Route is named in memory of the region’s earliest canoe-faring inhabitants, who navigated and lived in this part of Patagonia.
